Bridal Show / March Mixer / Wedding Book 2017
Platinum Wedding & Events @ Seven Oaks Country Club
Our next Bridal Show will be Sunday, April 2nd at the Seven Oaks Country Club. This show is limited to 34 Vendors and we currently have 11 spaces available; categories are limited. Doors will open at 11am for VIP Brides who will enjoy a champagne brunch on The Green. General Admission doors will open at 12noon. At 2pm brides who are interested will be escorted outside to the Rose Garden for an outdoor fashion show. You will not want to miss this show as it will be catered to not only brides but anyone in Kern County that is planning any sort of event.
March Mixer on the 22nd
Our March Mixer is Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the Seven Oaks Country Club at 5:30pm. Any guest that shows up before 5:45pm will receive an extra entry to a raffle basket valued at over $100. At this mixer, we will reveal the map for the April Bridal Show and you will be able to view your spot and get a complete view of where the show will be held. Bag Stuffers for the upcoming show will need to be delivered to our office before Thursday, March 30th. We will be stuffing 100 bags for this show.
The Wedding Book 2017/2018
The Wedding Book 2017 is scheduled to be released in September 2017. We have taken into account that the beginning of the year is a difficult time for a lot of members due to holidays and an abundance of Bridal Shows in the area. After many meetings, we have come to the decision to move forward with a Fall Wedding Book instead of our January Wedding Book. Advertisement prices will remain the same as previous years. Deadlines for advertisements will be in July. 10,000 books will be locally distributed throughout the following 12 months to over 200 local locations. If you are interested in advertising in the Fall 2017 Book we will have forms at our March Mixer.

Let’s face it – The most special time of a woman’s life is her wedding, and it will also be one of the most stressful times as well.
One of the things that often gets overlooked is wedding venue insurance. It is very likely that the venue where you choose to have your reception will require you to have $1,000,000 in liability coverage. This is in case Uncle Murray has a few too many drinks and gets out of hand or the DJ’s pyrotechnics goes haywire and the place burns down. I am obviously joking, your wedding will be a wonderful experience for everyone, but the venue will want to make sure you are covered just in case.
Many times the need for insurance is not known until just before the big date and the bride has to scramble to find coverage. If you have a Renters or Homeowners insurance policy, generally the wedding can be added as a “special event” endorsement and will only cost about $50 so check with your insurance company first. If you don’t have renters or homeowners insurance it can typically cost about $400-$500 to get a one day event through an insurance broker.
And don’t forget to get that ring insured. Renters and Homeowners insurance only give limited amounts of coverage. Usually between $500-$2500 depending on the policy. It is best to have your ring insured separately on its own policy.

- Facebook Cover Photo 851 pixels wide by 315 pixels tall (used in the post tweet win contest we will use several)
- Facebook Advertising 600 pixels wide by 400 pixels tall
- Instagram Photos Advertising 1080 pixels wide by 1080 pixels tall
- Posters 24 X 36
- Postcards 4 X 6
- Postcards 5 X 7
- Your logo as a transparent PNG, PDF, PST or AI
All images need to have room for logos and information. please send without your logo/copyright on the image. I will place your logo/copyright on the image in the appropriate location.
You must be in the show to get credit for the image.
If you can identify any of the companies in the photo that would be helpful ie: cake by Tastries, Dress from Ladies and Gents, Location is Seven Oaks Country Club, etc.
